The dusty desert town of Ghadames is one of the oldest cities in Libya, situated in the three country triangle of Libya, Tunisia and Algeria. This oasis town was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986, due to its preservation of valuable cultural legacy; magnificent architecture and fascinating traditions.
It is considered one of the most significant destinations for travellers in Libya, known as “the pearl of the desert”. An old saying goes: “One trip to Ghadames equals all of your own life” source
